This policy explains what information defenceguru.in ("Defence गुरु", "we") collects, why, and the choices you have. We keep it to the minimum needed to run a free practice website.

1. Information you give us

Contact form. If you send us a message, we receive your name, the phone number or email you choose to give (optional), the topic and your message. It is delivered securely to our team so we can read it and reply. We use it only to answer you, and we do not sell or share it. You can ask us to delete it at any time (see section 7).

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect payment details.

2. Information stored only on your device

The questions you answered wrongly (for revision), your daily streak, your language choice and your cookie choice are saved only in your browser, on your device. We never receive them. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes them.

3. Cookies and analytics

Technical data. Like every website, we process technical data such as your IP address and browser type to show pages, keep the site fast and protect it from abuse. We do not use it to identify you.

We count page visits with a privacy-friendly, cookie-free tool that does not identify you.

Google Analytics helps us understand how the site is used (for example which pages are visited, and when a practice set is started or finished, with its score). It never receives your name or contact details. It sets cookies only if you click "Accept" on our cookie notice. If you choose "No thanks", no analytics cookies are stored; Google may still receive basic, cookieless signals under Google Consent Mode. 4. Advertising

We may show ads from third-party vendors, including Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and/or other sites on the Internet. We ask Google to show only non-personalised ads on this site.

You may opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings.

5. Embedded videos

Pages may include our YouTube videos in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). When you play a video, YouTube's privacy policy applies.

6. How long we keep information

Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to reply and follow up, and are deleted on request. Analytics data is kept according to the providers' standard retention settings.

7. Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (and similar laws elsewhere), you can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information you gave us, and you can change or withdraw your cookie choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. 8. Young users

Many exam aspirants are 17 or 18. You can use every practice set without giving us any personal information. If you are under 18, please use the contact form only with a parent's or guardian's knowledge. If a parent or guardian wants information sent by someone under 18 removed, write to us and we will delete it.

9. Links to other sites

We link to YouTube, Telegram, WhatsApp and Google's ad settings. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.

10. Changes

If we change this policy we will update this page and the date at the top.
